Allah سبحانه وتعالى States in the Qur’an “Righteousness is this that one believes in Allāh and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and gives away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for the emancipation of the captives, and keeps up prayer and pays the zakāt” (2:177).
West Bengal Charity Foundation is a family relief and development charity based in Preston, England. It was established in 2012. The charity was started after a member of the family visited the West Bengal area of India and saw the condition of the local community. It was clear that there was an urgent need to support and assist the community in terms of nutrition, education, clothing and employment.
